Abstract(in English) We propose a novel wavelength-tunable dual-output laser module using a rear wavelength monitor with no additional optical coupler. In order to realize the proposed laser module, we develop three key techniques, low-loss dual-output optics, a 16-DFB LD array in the wavelength-tunable LD in order to reduce the power consumption, and a rear-side wavelength monitor which enables us to monitor the output wavelength precisely. We achieve a small size of 17.9 mm  9.9 mm  6.2 mm for the laser module, which is suitable for a Micro-ITLA. The characteristics of the laser module are also measured. The fiber output powers of the signal and LO lights are more than 13.8 dBm and 10.8 dBm respectively. The power consumption of the laser module is less than 3.0 W which enables the estimated Micro-ITLA power consumption to be less than 4.5 W. The deviations of the locking frequencies from the ITU-T channels are within -0.69 to +0.46 GHz.
