Study on Miniaturization of a Log-Periodic Dipole Antenna

Abstract(in English) We are studying a log-periodic dipole antenna (LPDA) with wideband characteristics. In order to design a compact LPDA, apex angle $alpha$ set to be large but its wideband characteristics will be maintained. For studying miniaturization of LPDA, we obtain fractional bandwidth of impedance and gain. Furthermore, quality factor of LPDA is obtained and compared with that of half wavelength dipole antenna.
