Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes multiple differential detection based on per-survivor processing (PSP-MDD) employing first-order channel prediction in order to keep good trade-off between sensitivity performance and tracking performance. PSP-MDD with channel prediction has been investigated for fast time-varying channels. Although this PSP-MDD can track fast time-varying channels, it suffers from serious sensitivity performance degradation compared with the conventional differential detection (DD). Assuming that channels are approximated first-order channel model, this paper proposes PSP-MDD employing simple first-order channel prediction according to generalized observation number of the received signals. Next, computer simulation results confirm the proposed PSP-MDD can control trade-off between tracking performance and sensitivity performance with respect to the observation number. As a result, the proposed PSP-MDD can keep good trade-off between sensitivity performance and tracking performance compared with conventional PSP-MDD on time-varying channels.
