| Abstract(in English) | In recent years, data traffic in the Internet has been increased by Over The Top (OTT) Service. Content provider’s (CP’s) traffic flows from upper tier ISPs to users through lower tier ISPs. The lower tier ISPs must pay transit fee to upper tier ISPs. The transit fee increases in accordance with the increase of data traffic. However, the revenue of low tier ISPs is fixed, because their service price is usually set to a flat-rate. If traffic continues to increase in this way, lower tier ISPs will fail in business, because the transit fee (i.e. cost) may exceed the revenue. We need to prevent this fail, because without lower tier ISPs, CPs and upper tier ISPs cannot provide the service. To solve this problem, indirect beneficiary should pay cost. In particular, CPs that get income from content viewers and upper tier ISPs that get income from lower tier ISPs, should give a part of income to lower tier ISPs. In this paper, CP is assumed to be the OTT service provider which includes the function of upper tier ISP. The user’s content request is regarded as lower tier ISP’s content request. This paper examines the point of agreement on profit sharing between the CP and lower tier ISPs by using the game theory. |
