Abstract(in English) As approximate solutions in large-scale problems are obtained by evolutionary computation algorithms, many search individuals are needed. In order to speed up this computation, the parallel-distributed computing of the algorithms is effective. However, if the communication traffic between each computation node increases, it becomes a bottleneck and the expected speeding up the computation can not be realized. In this paper, the parallel-distributed computation method for the particle swarm optimization, which has been previously proposed, is applied to the artificial bee colony algorithm. By performing the numerical experiments, the performances of each method are confirmed.
