Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Wireless technologies like software radio or cognitive radio have been remarkably advanced in terms of both hardware and software. Recently more comprehensive terminology "Smart Radio" has been newly used. Some of major technological components in smart radio are dynamic spectrum access to exploit radio resources, and heterogeneous wireless network using multiple wireless systems. It has been more important and effective to use software simulation for research and development of smart radio including such technologies due to the increase of computing power and the wide range of software libraries. Author have developed network simulator capable for the evaluation of smart radio technologies by introducing adjacent channel interference model and reported some evaluation results of IEEE 802.11g and Bluetooth. It would be one of the practical way to understand the complex behavior of multiple wireless systems, however it seems that there have not been a standard model agreed yet. In this report the current status and the issues on computer simulation platform to evaluate the performance of multiple wireless communication systems sharing radio resources. |
