Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we analyze a large-scale wireless sensor network with uncertain wireless communication links using fluid-flow approximation. In recent years, large-scale wireless sensor networks have attracted a lot of research interests because of downsizing, cost reduction and power-saving of wireless sensors and also of development of several wireless sensor network applications represented by IoT (Internet Of Things). However, design and control methodologies, which can explicitly take account of uncertainty of large-scale wireless sensor networks, are required for realization of an efficient and reliable large-scale wireless sensor network. In the literature, although several mathematical modeling of wireless sensor networks have been performed, those studies have limitations such as negligence of network uncertainty, limitation in the network size, or non-standard wireless communication protocol. In this paper, we therefore model a large-scale wireless sensor network adopting IEEE 802.15.4 protocol with uncertain communication links. In particular, we explicitly model fluctuations of the wireless communication range, and derive the average message delivery delay. |
