Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Spoofing attack in wireless communications is a critical issue, in which a malicious transmitter attempts to pretend to be a genuine. It is easier to spoof in wireless communications than in wire communications. In this paper, we propose a method to realize an device-level authentication with received signal strength indicator (RSSI). This method is based on the correlation between distance of transmitter-receiver and RSSI. To clarify the condition to apply the method, we formulate the condition that the threat can successfully spoof as an authorized transmitter and do experiments to verify if the system can detect the attacks. |
