Physical analysis for paint-spatter of roller-coating.

Abstract(in English) Paint-spatter of roller-coating is one of the important coating workabilities, but the mechanism and control technology are not clear. We observed the coating process by high speed camera and made clear why paint-spatter is caused. We found that paint-spatter correlates with spinnability and first normal stress difference by comparing the paint having much spatter with the paint having a little spatter.
