A Study on Fast SPFD by Parallel Multigrid Method

Abstract(in English) In recent years, there has been an interest in adverse health effect of electromagnetic fields from low frequency to intermediate frequency, such as fields from IH cooking hob, wireless power transfer system, etc. The development of safety evaluation technique is thus necessary. Induced electric field is used as a metric for human protection from low frequency to intermediate frequency field exposure although biological effect in that frequency band. This study presents a fast-SPFD-simulation method by using parallel Multigrid and Multi-Color SOR (successive-over-relaxation) method for calculating induced electric field. The effectiveness of the proposal has also been demonstrated for the safety compliance in human exposure in an electric vehicle. The proposed parallel method has run approximately 13 times faster than conventional one.
