Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Massive MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) in 5th generation radio communication system offers high antenna gain and high data rate communication by spatial beam multiplexing. In case of narrow beam, it may happen that a UE(user equipment) goes out of a beam cover area due to moving of the UE during an initial access procedure and a change procedure of base stations even if a proper beam direction is detected for the UE in a measurement beforehand. In this paper, we propose a beam control algorithm which makes the initial access and the change procedure of base stations fast and robust. We evaluate the proposal with an access failure rate and also an impact on beam resource assigned to other UEs in communication state.
