Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we conducted channel measurement at 58.5 GHz mm-wave band in an open square environment where high-speed hot spot scenario is assumed in the next generation mobile communications and ultra-high-speed wireless LAN, and acquired the channel impulse responses in the spatio-temporal domain. Further, the ray tracing simulation was conducted using the simplified model of the measurement environment. By comparing between measurement and simulation results, the dominant propagation mechanisms were identified to up to the second order reflection from walls and diffraction from metallic edge. In addition, the scattering from some objects, such as trees and lamp post have also been confirmed. The interaction loss coefficient of each propagation mechanism was compared between the measurement and simulation.
