Abstract(in English) | Direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation with an array antenna includes MUSIC and ESPRIT. MUSIC needs big computational complexity to calculate a spectrum of the wide range of angles. Real-valued MUSIC (RV-MUSIC) is a technique calculating a spectrum for half range of MUSIC search range with only real part or only imaginary part of the covariance matrix of the array output vector, and RV-MUSIC has less computational complexity than MUSIC. Under low noise environment, the DOA estimation accuracy of RV-MUSIC is nearly equal to MUSIC. However, under high noise environment, the estimation accuracy of RV-MUSIC is lower than that of MUSIC. In this paper, a method improving RV-MUSIC is proposed. The proposed method is outstanding than RV-MUSIC about computational complexity and estimation accuracy, and the proposed method uses RV-MUSIC, property of orthogonal complement, unitary transformation, and Uniraty-MUSIC spectrum. |
