Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Body Area Network (BAN) is attracting much attention as a wireless communications technology that can be applied in medical and healthcare field. A capsule endoscope is one of examples for implant BAN application. Currently commercialized capsule endoscopes mainly employ 400 MHz MICS band to reduce signal attenuation through a human body. However, the demand for real-time transmission is growing for capsule endoscope, while 400 MHz MICS band cannot satisfy the requirement of high transmission rate. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the feasibility of high-quality and high-speed transmission for implant UWB communication with a MIMO technology.
