Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) GNSS received signal affected by snow surface reflection contains periodical variations due to radio interferences between a direct and a reflected signals in its receiving intensity and carrier phase measurements. The periodical changes in measurement data for each satellite are produced by changes of propagation path difference between a direct and a reflected signals with a GNSS satellite motion. Using such observational data, snow depth measurement is widely used in recent years. In addition to such snow depth meter, a final goal of this study is to develop a new method to measure permittivity of snow surface using fluctuations of receiving intensity and carrier phase measurements of GNSS signals, which are temporally changing, depending on snow surface conditions. This study reports intermediate status of analytical investigation on characteristics of GNSS receiving signals reflected by snow surface using GNSS data set of our winter experiment in 2014/2015.
