Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is improvement of the control quality of wireless feedback control systems in terms of channel coding. The use of channel coding may decrease the packet loss rate. However, its redundancydecreases the packet transmission rate under the same bit rate and thus degrades the control quality. Therefore, we propose a new channel coding scheme. Our proposed scheme reduces the amount of transmitted control information and instead adds redundant bits of channel coding. Two techniques of reducing the amount of information are proposed: one reduces the number of state variables and the other reduces the number of quantization bits. How much amount of information should be reduced is adaptively decided on the basis of error covariance of state observer. We show that the proposed schemes improve the control quality without decreasing the packet transmission rate.
