Abstract(in English) | This paper presents a power-over-fiber using double-clad fibers for optically powered remote antenna units in radio-over-fiber systems. Double-clad fibers consist of a single-mode core and an inner-cladding that surrounds the single-mode core. We introduce our experimental demonstrations about the bidirectional radio-over-fiber transmission and optically powered and controlled beam steering system with power-over-fiber using a double-clad fiber. In these works, we have successfully achieved good signal performances for a 60-W power-over-fiber feed. These results show the feasibility of the presented power-over-fiber. |
