| Abstract(in English) | We evaluated two network access authentication methods over wireless multihop sensor networks on an actual field. One method is centralized authentication that a base station performs mutual authentication with a joining node. The other one is decentralized authentication that a joined node performs mutual authentication with a joining node. We measured build-up time of network for the two methods using fifty 920MHz wireless units. The results showed that the decentralized authentication method reduced the build-up time by about 30% compared to the centralized one. |
