[Poster Presentation] Cardinality Estimation of Positive Items for Boolean Compressed Sensing Based Adaptive Group Testing

Abstract(in English) Adaptive group testing using boolean compressed sensing requires information on the number of positive items for effective pool size control. Owing to the fact that the number of positive items is unknown a priori in general, we have to estimate it by some methods. In this paper, we propose an estimation method for the number of positive items that can be implemented in parallel with the algorithm of adaptive group testing using boolean compressed sensing and propose a pool size control method using that information. Computer simulation results reveal that the performance of adaptive group testing with proposed method is better than that with conventional methods especially when the number of positive items is large.
