Abstract(in English) | A simple model of evolving open systems with the mono-directional interaction gives a novel transition from the diverging phase to the finite phase. The system can grow in a range of 4 < m < 19, where m represents the interaction number of the new incoming elements, and it remains in a finite size in the case of m > 19. Assuming that the system is a random network, we evaluate the transition point on a basis of a mean field approach; The system is able to be described by the average values of degree and fitness of the entire system. From the mean field approach, we found that the extinction probability E(m) decreases when m increases and the decreasing speed is slower than the increasing speed of m. Thus, the expectation value of the extinction species mE(m) increases and crosses one at mc* =13. It corresponds to the transition point. Moreover, extinction probabilities which are directly observed in the systems of the mono-directional model are smaller than the estimation value from the mean field analysis. As a result of the smaller extinction probabilities, the transition point in the mono-directional model (mc =18) becomes larger than the mean field approach. |
