Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An indirect measurement method is proposed for the S-parameters of multiport reciprocal circuits. In the method, half of the ports are not directly measured and some known loads are connected while direct measurements are performed through the remaining ports to estimate the whole S-parameters. It is shown that the similarity and congruence relations with the transfer coefficient submatrix between the direct and indirect measured ports as transformation matrices provides the estimation of the transfer coefficient submatrix through three measurements in principle which is necessary and sufficient. The method is applied to case-earth capacitor design for small PCB to confirm the validity and usability of this method.
