Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Brain Computer Interface (BCI) allows a user to control external devices and to communicate with other people by his/her thought. P300 Speller is a BCI system which utilizes user's P300 as the feature to input letters. P300 Speller is expected to help people with motor disabilities, however, the inputting speed of the system is very slow, which is big burden for users. This paper proposes a method to incorporate P300 Speller with a word-level language model to reduce the inputting time. Results of an offline experiment with 8 subjects shows that the proposed method achieve quicker inputting than conventional methods.
