Electrical Measurements on Organic Single Crystals by Using Lamination Contact Electrode

Abstract(in English) In this study, we have developed and demonstrated a novel electrical contact method for organic single crystals. Au electrode pattern and parylene thin film was formed on the substrate surface and then the parylene sheet was peeled off with Au electrode pattern. This thin parylene sheet sticks on the surface of an organic single crystal without giving any external stress and/or any solvent effect onto the organic single crystal. We call this sheet type electrode as ‘Lamination contact electrode’. The lamination contact electrode is effective for making an electrical contact on any organic single crystal, and we have also demonstrated that the contact was effective in low temperature electrical measurement at least until liquid nitrogen temperature.
