Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Super high definition video (4K/8K) system realizes the high reality presentation with one flat display. To reduce the bit-rate for such system, the rational coding methods have been discussed. The coding control based on the different viewing at the position in a display and the reduced coding with a super resolution for the decoded picture are discussed. For these, we have studied the subjective assessment about the relation between the viewing distance and quantization in the coding. Also the effect of enhancement in the scaling were assessed. In this report, the subjective assessment in the slant view and the effect of super resolution are studied. In the slant viewing, it is recognized that MOS is slightly reduced with the viewing angle. MOS for the super resolution is poor than high order resampling. This means that an improvement of resolution is not easy in the usual pictures even if using the super resolution processing.
