Abstract(in English) A conventional train control system assures the safety owing to the collaboration works between an interlocking subsystem, an automatic block subsystem, an automatic train protection subsystem and a level crossing subsystem that are made with ridged technology. We propose a new unified train control system which realizes all functions uniquely so as to meet improving safety, reliability, and maintainability. The architecture on which every signaling processes are performed by a vital processor in the center, and the processor and terminal units are connected by an IP network, reduces many processors and interfaces which are used into the conventional train control system. We estimate how the feature of this architecture contributes to safety improvement.
