Influence of Cable in Reflection Coefficient Measurement of a Printed Inverted-F Antenna

Abstract(in English) Nowadays, 2.4GHz/5GHz wireless LAN is widely used. The author developed a 2.4GHz/5GHz printed inverted-F antenna. Measured and simulated reflection coefficients were compared. The influence of a cable connector cannot always be neglected when electromagnetic field is radiated and impinges on the connector. Such a case is considered and discussed in the paper. It is found that the cable connector must be modeled in the simulation when scattered field from the connector toward the input port is not negligible.
