Abstract(in English) | In this research, we propose a method of relay placement to guarantee the required robustness of a wireless sensor network. We assume a two-tiered network which has limitations on candidate locations to place relay nodes. We incorporate a flocking algorithm, i.e. a mathematical model of collective behavior of swarm, and a potential algorithm, i.e. a mathematical model of gradient-based movement of an organism, to dynamically move relay nodes to accomplish the required robustness. We show that our proposal can reduce the number of relay nodes than an existing method especially when the required robustness is high. |
