Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Inpatient may fall down at the time of the standing-up from the toilet. A sensor system that informs automatically nurses before the inpatient standing-up is required to prevent a fall. A distance sensor was attached to front of a toilet tank, and the distance between the sensor and the back of the person sitting on the toilet seat was evaluated. The typical signal wiping the buttocks with paper was detected by a signal processing originally developed.
