Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We evaluated our previously proposed technique for protecting copyrights of digital data for 3-D printing. The proposed technique embedded copyright information into not only digital data but also fabricated objects and read it out from the objects to confirm illegal acts such as bootleg products. In our previous studies, we demonstrated that we could nondestructively read information embedded into plastic objects by constructing their inside with small cavities. In this study, we examined whether the proposed technique could be applied to gypsum objects. Information was embedded into gypsum objects by constructing their inside with small areas that were not solidified and were filled with gypsum powder. Thermography was used for nondestructive readout. The results obtained from the experiment indicated that the embedded information could be read. We demonstrated that the proposed technique could be applied to gypsum objects.
