| Abstract(in English) | In order to know what kind of factors cause the errors in executing memorized sequential proceedings, we analyzed the pattern of errors occurred in performing learned sequences of button-presses. Participants learned multiple [4 x 5] button-press sequences made of 5 sets of 4 button-presses so that they could execute the sequence without any cue of the buttons to be pressed. In the test phase, they made the substitution errors in which they pressed correct buttons of the set different from the set to be performed. The substitution errors between the sets of the same executive stage occurred more than those between the sets which followed the identical sets. Results suggest that executive stage of the sequence affects the occurrence of errors in performing memorized sequential procedures. |
