Abstract(in English) | In information theory, information measures for random variables, such as the Shannon entropy and the R?nyi entropy, are fundamental amounts to mathematically examine communication systems. Besides their (unconditional) entropies, the concept of conditional entropies is commonly used to evaluate a sequence of correlated random variables. As fundamental techniques for analyzing mathematical models, bounds on these information measures are widely used in many fields, such as not only information theory but also statistics, pattern recognitions, machine learning, and cryptography. In this study, the conditional R?nyi entropy proposed by Arimoto is discussed, and sharp bounds between two conditional R?nyi entropies with distinct positive orders are examined. |
