Performance Evaluation of Propagation Control Devices for Active Propagation Control

Abstract(in English) The authors have proposed "Active Propagation Control "(APC) " as a method to improve receiving transmission performance of a wireless communication channel. By APC, we can obtain the better transmission performance by changing propagation characteristics actively in some ways, such as moving, rotating or transforming objects in the surrounding environment. In the previous studies, the fundamental effectiveness of APC was shown by using three-dimensional FDTD analysis, assuming a room environment where a metal plate as a device changing the propagation characteristics is rotated. In this paper, we evaluate the variation performance of the propagation characteristics of the propagation control device by indoor experiments and comparison with the result of FDTD analysis to present the effectiveness of APC. Also, we evaluate the performance of another propagation control device developed considering safety for human bodies.
