A performance study of a call admission control in Satellite/Terrestria Integrated Communications System during Large Scale Disasters

Abstract(in English) When a large-scale disaster by a big earthquake occurs, many base stations become to be non-functional. In such this situation, the Satellite/ Terrestrial Integrated Communication System (STICS) is expected to play important role as a communication network infrastructure. To do this role, Call Admission Control (CAC) needs to meet with congestion by rapidly traffic demand increase. The authors have been proposed the Impartial communication Chance CAC (ICCAC), in which making equivalent call chance is regarded as important and more users can make calls with their terminals. This paper presents outlines of control functions structure and simulations results for estimating performance of ICCAC. Also, new simulation results are presented considering user’s retry call behavior when they know admission rate changes by the number of retry call.
