[Special Talk] Onboard antenna pointing control for geostationary multibeam satellites

Abstract(in English) Next-generation communication satellites with 30m class deployable onboard antennas are studied to complement mobile communication networks, and enhance radiocommunication in disaster and emergency. In this paper, some system configurations of the antenna pointing control are proposed to realize geostationary satellites with ground coverage by S-band around 100 spot beams of 0.4 degree beamwidth. Each control system configuration was analyzed with pointing error estimation based on ETS-VI and ETS-VIII development data, and the system pointing errors were clarified.
