[Invited Talk] Optical Signal Processing Using Quantum-Dot Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers

Abstract(in English) Quantum-dot semiconductor optical amplifiers (QD-SOAs) have attracted much attention, as they have been shown to be superior to common semiconductor optical amplifiers in terms of the key attributes needed for optical signal processing, such as improved gain, faster recovery time, and broader gain bandwidth. This paper reviews the recent progress of quantum-dot semiconductor optical amplifiers, including our works, developed as various kinds of optical signal processing.
