Abstract(in English) A center-feeding travelling-wave comb-line antenna is developed to realize a high-gain and broadband two-dimensional microstrip array antenna in sub-millimeter-wave band. Microstrip antennas suffer from high feeding-loss in high frequency band. Therefore, travelling-wave operation is applied. To achieve much lower feeding loss and to prevent gain reduction due to long line effect, center-feeding configuration is applied. A microstrip comb-line antenna composed of only one substrate is developed by using two microstrip-line port waveguide planar transition in this work. The travelling-wave arrays, the feeding power dividers, and the planar waveguide transition are designed and the two-dimensional antenna is analyzed by electromagnetic simulation. The measured performance of the fabricated antenna is evaluated in this paper.
