Abstract(in English) Future network is expected to become multi-RAT (Radio Access Technology) environment in order to increase capacity of wireless communication under spectrum limitation. The multi-RAT environment is expected to become a heterogeneous network which consists of various wireless cells characterized by different frequencies, cell sizes, and standards of wireless communication, such as LTE or Wi-Fi. In multi-RAT environment, moving users keep communicating with making handovers between these various wireless cells. In such case, TCP communication has a performance issue that current congestion controls of TCP is not sufficient to follow rapid and drastic changes of communication quality on frequent handovers. In this paper, we propose multi-transport method which controls transport protocols adaptively depending on changes of wireless characteristics. We also report evaluation results of our proposed method by computer simulation.
