Abstract(in English) In 3GPP, LTE-Advanced Pro has been investigated in order to enhance LTE/LTE-Advanced to 5G mobile system. Latency Reduction is one of the study items in LTE-A Pro Release 14. In the Latency Reduction, shortened TTI (Transmission Time Interval) is investigated to reduce transmission latency. Generally, the packet transmission is main traffic even in mobile, but the traffic has limited data rate due to TCP based congestion control. The shortened TTI seems to be beneficial to mitigate the limitation of the congestion control. Then high data rate can be achieved in early phase by applying the shortened TTI, and it results in reduction of packet latency and improvement of throughput. However we should note that increasing overhead of reference and/or control signaling can cause degradation of transmission efficiency. In this paper, we evaluate throughput and delay performance by system simulation with applying shortened TTI and taking into account reference and/or control signaling overhead in order to investigate effects on system by shortened TTI.
