[Encouragement Talk] Dynamic Routing with Energy-Efficient AoD nodes Utilizing Space Division Multiplexing Technology

Abstract(in English) Elastic Optical Network (EON) and Space Division Multiplexing (SDM) are promising technologies for the future core optical network with large transmission capacity. It is necessary to reduce power consumption of the optical switching node architecture in EONs because SDM technology also involves enlargement of a node scale. We have proposed new energy-efficient optical switching node architecture based on Architecture on Demand (AoD) concept. The proposed node architecture reduce its power consumption by partly utilizing fix ed and low-power-consumption signal processing modules. In this paper, we propose the dynamic routing method which satisfies the requirement of partly fixed spectrum allocation for proposed node architecture. The proposed routing method are evaluated through computer simulations.
