Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We propose the connectivity analysis using cross-correlation function which we established to visualize quantitative connectivity structure electrocardiogram of intractable epilepsy patients. Connectivity analyasis is presented by the minimum spanning tree, which is configured with delay time and maximum value of the correlation function between the channels. Results of the connectivity analysis were in accordance with PET as well as physician's observation for the patient with improved prognosis. Next, to eliminate the influence from other channels in connectivity structure we performed connectivity analysis using partial-correlation function. As a result of studying both connectivity structures, it is suggested that enhanced findings may be obtained. Results of tracking the average of the top 1% connectivity strength showed the value was rising when epileptiform discharges propagated throughout the brain. However, it was reduced in despite the epileptiform activities continued. In the seizure termination, it increased again. |
