A Prediction Method of Epileptic Seizure Using Synchronization Likelihood and Electrocorticography

Abstract(in English) Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that causes sudden recurrent seizures such as convulsion, loss of conisousness, etc. As the development of new treatments including focal brain cooling proceeds, the prediction of epileptic seizures becomes more and more important. We propose a new prediction method that is deals with the synchronization of the brain network by using synchronization likelihood as a feature. As a result, it was demonstrated that the proposed method achieved higher prediction sensitivity.
