Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The depth-dependent point spread function (PSF) is useful to improve the transillumination image blurred by the strong scattering in animal tissue. To utilize this technique, the depth information of the absorber in scattering medium is essential. We have proposed a technique to estimate the depth of an absorber by the PSF convolution of the transillumination images in the different wavelengths. In this study, we chose appropriate two wavelengths in the characteristic analysis of the proposed technique to improve its performance. The effectiveness of the technique was confirmed in simulation, and its usefulness was evaluated in the experiment with the phantom model of animal body tissue. The improvement of transillumination image using the PSF with the estimated depth was carried out, and the applicability of the proposed technique was verified. Finally, the feasibility of three dimensional transillumination imaging using the proposed technique was demonstrated.
