Development of a Mobile Application for HMD Devices to Enhance the Visibility of Person with Low Vision

Abstract(in English) In recent years, a variety of wearable device has attracted attention. We thought that a wearable device equipped with a Head Mounted Display (HMD) is effective in support of low vision. We used a see-through-type HMD device, and the closed-type HMD device which combines smartphone and lensed fixing kit. Both device We developed an application which has function of image processing which expanding,inverted,binarized and edge detection. We will report the evaluation of the performance and the results of preliminary experimental results.
