Cascaded SSFBG Encoder/Decoder for 10G-WDM-OCDMA system

Abstract(in English) WDM-OCDMA using multiple wavelengths and optical codes can increase the number of subscribers. Superstructured Fiber Bragg Grating (SSFBG) is compact and inexpensive, but this device can only process one optical code. In this paper, we propose the receiver cascading in multiple SSFBG En/Decoders for processing multiple optical codes. In addition, we consider the design requirement for the trial manufacture of the receiver that cascades in four 10Gbps-SSFBG En/Decoders. The optical decoding experiment using the receiver has been achieved success.
