Abstract(in English) We propose a novel approach to improve the information visibility of optical see-through head mounted displays by adjusting the display backlight luminance. We design an experiment to collect information visibility scores based on user evaluation. We use the scores as criteria for information visibility, apply polynomial regression to model it with two variables; lightness of the real scene and luminance of the backlight, and then create an algorithm based on the model to estimate the visibility by adjusting the backlight. The result shows that the visibility estimation model has a relatively high coefficient of determination where $R^2 = 0.8833$ to estimate the visibility, but it is also suggested that more variables are still needed, such as color of the real scene, for building a more precise model.
