Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Center for Industrial and Governmental Relations of The University of Electro-Communications (UEC) organized a consortium, Gigabit Consortium, for educating and/or training electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) concept/ideas to company engineers engaging in circuit design, not familiar to high-frequency analog techniques. The consortium established five years ago and has planned some lecture meetings of latest topics, seminars, and so on. In this article, idea and roll of the consortium are mentioned, then refer to some providing projects and courses. The EMC design guideline seminar is mentioned in detail. Where, electric phenomena should be treated on a stand point such as electric circuit concepts are on special conditions in electromagnetic field theory and it is emphasized that the magnitude and phase in circuit concept are important. Some experimental models demonstrated in the course are shown as interesting examples.
