Research of Haptic Teaching for surgery using Wrist Force Display

Abstract(in English) In this research, we propose a surgery teaching system using a wire driven haptic device to present a force against the wrist. We focused laparoscopic surgery because its skills are difficult to learn owing to its peculiarity equipment and limitation of view. Usual surgical simulator can provide trainee experience of surgery. But its only experience so they can not learn efficiently. Otherwise this system can not only surgical simulation but also teaching skill of surgery. We designed this system and measured its performances. And made an application for surgical training to evaluate how useful this system is.
