Wearable Wrist Haptic Device for Interaction with Immersive VR Environment

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose haptic device “SPIDAR-W” for interaction with immersive VR environment. This device gives 6DOF force feedback to user’s both hands. Previous wearable haptic device only possible to provide 3DOF haptic feedback or single hand operation. Our device achieve 6 DOF haptic interaction to use’s wrist by arrange motor surrounding his/her hand on flame that can carry on his back. Therefore, this device provide haptic feedback to both hands by light and brief mechanism. Our device products more freely interaction with virtual space.
