Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we investigate a circular loudspeaker array (which typically is a watch type wearable terminal) with few sound leakages into the neighborhood for directivity control. We used a multi-point control method, which can be used to set a desired sound pressure to control directivity in detail.A multi-point control method can generate high directivity in the target direction, while sidelobes appear in other directions. When the intensity of sidelobes is high it results in sound leakage. Therefore, we propose a novel algorithm that can suppress sidelobes by setting smooth desired sound pressures around a loudspeaker array using a window function. Moreover, we introduced a technique for suppressing sidelobes using the weighted least-squares method. Next, we conducted directivity simulations using a cylindrical loudspeaker array based on the proposed method. Results indicated that although the beam width of the directivity became wider, sidelobe suppression was achieved through the proposed method.
