Abstract(in English) | PaaS type cloud services like Google App Engine (GAE) have advantages in providing us with the capability of flexible application development and ease of system operation, however they include inherent problems in data integrity and performance prediction. The authors have hitherto proposed several methods for modeling, verification and evaluation of these problems independently. However, the essential differences between these kinds of models, one for data integrity and the other for performance prediction, are the occurrence of temporal parameters and data semantics, and the rest part of these models are common, consequently they can be integrated into the commonized models. This commonization would simplify the verification and evaluation processes in system designing. This paper presents a single-model based evaluation and prediction of data integrity and performance for transaction processing systems in GAE, using Colored Petri Nets (CPNs). Since the internal structure of GAE is not fully opened to the general public, we create these unified models based on GAE APIs, the specifications and performance related data of which are opened or measurable respectively. |
